Care labelling to the Australian standard
The Australian Consumer Goods (Care Labelling) Information Standard covers household textiles, including towels, bathmats and bed linen, as well as clothing. The care instructions must be in English, shown with the recognised care symbols, or both.
We design the care and composition label to your artwork, include
“Made in India“ and send it for approval with the sample.
Duty under the India–Australia ECTA
The India–Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) has been in force since 29 December 2022, and Indian textile products such as towels generally enter Australia duty-free under it.
To claim the preferential rate, the shipment needs an ECTA certificate of origin, which we arrange from India with every order.
Please confirm the rate for your tariff classification with your customs broker. GST applies at the border as usual.
Shipping and biosecurity
• Terms: FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT), or CIF to your Australian port
• Australian ports: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle
• Transit: roughly three to five weeks port to port, depending on routing
• Biosecurity: new cotton towels in cartons are low-risk, but any timber packaging or pallets must be ISPM 15 treated and marked. We ship in cartons and use compliant pallets where needed. We also provide a packing declaration if your broker asks for one.
How an order runs
1. Spec and quote: your sizes, GSM, colours and labels, or a sample to match.
2. Lab dips: colours approved before bulk dyeing.

5. Quality checks: inline checks plus a final AQL inspection. Third-party inspectors are welcome.
