Bath Towel Supplier and Exporter to London — Cotton Terry from India

Bath Towel Supplier and Exporter to London — Cotton Terry from India London hotels buy bath towels differently from the rest of the UK, and the labelling rules are not the same as the EU’s. SPECIFICATION Bath sheet 90 x 150 cm, 550 to 650 GSM Bath towel 70 x 140 cm, 500 to 600 GSM Hand towel 50 x 90 cm, 450 to 550 GSM Face cloth, called a flannel here, 30 x 30 cm, 450 to 500 GSM The British hand towel is longer than the Australian one and shorter than the German one. Use “flannel”, not “washcloth”. LONDON HOTELS Rooms and bathrooms are small, and many properties send linen to an off-site laundry. Specify combed ring spun yarn, a five-pick ground weave and double-stitched hems, and stay at 500 to 600 GSM so towels dry on a heated rail. LABELLING AND PAPERWORK UK textile labelling is governed by its own regulations on fibre composition, which are separate from the EU’s, so do not assume an EU label is automatically correct. Larger buyers also ask for modern slavery evidence under the Modern Slavery Act. Our BSCI audit is the supporting document for that. Check current duty and any trade agreement status with your broker, because those rules change. PORTS Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway take most containers from India. Ship from [your port]. Transit [your transit time]. THE QUESTION TO ASK EVERY SUPPLIER Is the quoted weight before washing or after? A towel shrinks 5 to 7 percent over its first three industrial washes, mostly in length. We quote finished post-wash weight in writing.
