Selling towels under your own brand in France means meeting more labelling rules than in most European markets.
On top of EU fibre labelling, household linen sold in France carries the Triman logo and sorting information, and larger brands must say where the towel was woven, dyed and made.
We build all of this into the label and the packaging from the first sample, so your range is ready for French shelves and marketplaces.

French and EU compliance, built in
• Fibre composition in French: under EU Regulation 1007/2011, each towel shows its fibre content, for example “100 % cotton“.
Labels are in French for the French market, or multilingual if you also sell elsewhere in Europe.
• Triman logo and sorting information: household linen sold in France has carried the Triman logo and “info-tri“ sorting instructions since 2023.
We print them on the label or the packaging to your artwork.
• AGEC traceability: larger brands must state the country where the towel was woven, dyed and made.
For our towels that is India, and we confirm each step in writing for your product file.
• Azo-free dyeing: coloured towels are dyed with azo-free dyestuffs under EU REACH rules. Lab test reports are available on request.

• Your responsibility in France: as the brand placing towels on the French market, you register with Refashion, the textile recycling body, and pay its eco-contribution. We supply the product data you need to declare.
Duty and shipping
Cotton terry towels from India currently pay the standard EU import duty (around 12% for CN 6302 60; confirm in TARIC). The India–EU free trade agreement, concluded in January 2026, is expected to remove this duty once it comes into force, likely in 2027.
We ship FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT), or CIF to Le Havre, Fos-sur-Mer (Marseille) or another European port.
Transit is usually about four to six weeks, depending on routing.
How to launch your range
1. Send your product list, sizes, colours and brand artwork, or a towel you want to match.

Yes. We print them on the sewn label or on the packaging, following your artwork and Refashion's current guidance.
